Skin pigmentation

Repeated exposure to UV rays, pregnancy, hormones, medication, skin trauma and aging will cause pigmentation and can present in the form of the form of skin spots, freckles, discoloured skin or larger blemished areas.

Age spots

Flat and brown, gray or black, age spots occur on areas of the skin most exposed to the sun on the face, hands, shoulders and arms.

Varying in size and usually in adults older than age 50. Age spots are also often called liver spots, senile lentigo, solar lentigines, or sun spots.

Melasma

Melasma is a common skin problem causing patches of dark or discoloured skin and the condition is more common in women than men.

Brownish colored patches usually appear on the cheeks, forehead, bridge of the nose, chin, neck and forearms. When these patches occur on your face, you will find they are symmetrical, with matching marks on both sides of your face.

How does it work?

Laser removal removes pigmentation in the skin without pain and no side effects..

The process comines Light Absorption, Pigment Breakup and pigment removal.

The laser produces short nanosecond pulses of intense light that pass harmlessly through the top layers of the skin to be selectively absorbed by the melanin pigment in the lesion, the light is transformed into photoacoustic waves which mechanically break up the melanin pigment into smaller particles. These particles are then removed by the body’s own immune system, as the skin’s macro-phages clear the excess pigment from the area.
